چکیده

Salinity intrusion worldwide is a problem of consideration for the global food production and ensuring security. In this investigation, we focused to find out key chemical elements salinity problem. paper, authors reported high accumulation sodium (Na + ) increased EC (6.9 dS/m) values than that previous year (4.67 dS/m). We found highest EC, Na +, ESP 6.9 ds/m, 2.6 meq/100 g soil, 19.1%, respectively at Dumki, Potuakhali. The increase exchangeable was in Tojumuddin, Bhola. result 55% more when compared investigated result. Contrary increase, an 84-91% decrease organic matter (OM) samples. excessive OM investigation indicate low nutrient content coastal soils Bangladesh.

Salicylic Acid Mitigates the Effects of Drought and Salinity on Nutrient and Dry Matter Accumulation of Linseed

Salicylic acid can mitigate the impacts of salinity and drought stresses in crops. To study the effect of salicylic acid under iso-osmotic drought and salt stresses on nutrients absorption and growth of linseed (Linum usitatissimum L.), an experiment was conducted based on a completely randomized design with three replications in Yasouj University in 2016. Treatments included salinity and droug...

Groundwater Flow and Salinity Intrusion Simulation in Malekan Plain Aquifer

Due to groundwater overextraction, during the recent years, Malekan plain aquifer has been faced to a risk of increasing salination. The groundwater flow model of the plain was designed, invesitagion of groundwater flow regime and precise hydraulic parameters estimation, utilizing the various method such as  geological surveys, tomography methods, hydrochemical analysis and simulation of aquife...

Salt-Induced Stabilization of EIN3/EIL1 Confers Salinity Tolerance by Deterring ROS Accumulation in Arabidopsis

Ethylene has been regarded as a stress hormone to regulate myriad stress responses. Salinity stress is one of the most serious abiotic stresses limiting plant growth and development. But how ethylene signaling is involved in plant response to salt stress is poorly understood. Here we showed that Arabidopsis plants pretreated with ethylene exhibited enhanced tolerance to salt stress. Gain- and l...

Influence of Soil Solution Salinity on Boron Adsorption by Soils

Boron (B) adsorption on two arid-zone soils from the San Joaquin Valley of California was investigated as a function of equilibrium solution B concentration (0–250 mg L), solution pH (3–12), and electrical conductivity (EC, 0.3 or 7.8 dS m). Boron adsorption on both soils increased with increasing pH, reached a maximum near pH 9, and decreased with further increases in pH. Boron adsorption as a...
